The relocating Raiders are reporting strong personal seat license sales for Allegiant Stadium, their new Las Vegas home that will open this year.
The 2020 NFL season will see the relocation of the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas, where construction on the upcoming Allegiant Stadium remains on schedule. Ahead of their move, the Raiders are receiving strong support through their sale of PSLs, and the latest numbers reflect a high level of demand.
Initially, PSL sales were projected to bring in $250 million in revenue, but the Raiders have upped that figure by over 91%. With the influx of revenue from PSL sales, the Raiders have been able to increase their investment in the stadium project, directing the extra funds towards additions that includes plenty of notable fan amenities. More from the Las Vegas Review-Journal:
Initially projected to bring in $250 million, better than forecast sales have led the Raiders to increase the PSL budget by 91.2 percent to $478 million, according to the latest financial report provided by the Las Vegas Stadium Authority.
All of that $478 million has been infused into the $2 billion, 65,000-seat stadium.
The increased budget has allowed the Raiders to add new features such as additional suites, a 26,000-square-foot field-level club, upgraded fixtures and art and an upgraded internet connection.
A total of 126 suites will be featured in Allegiant Stadium.
In addition to hosting the Raiders, Allegiant Stadium will be the home of UNLV’s football program. It will also be the home of the annual Las Vegas Bowl and the Pac-12 Championship Game in 2020 and 2021, and is likely to be positioned as a draw for other major events, including concerts, potential Super Bowl and Pro Bowls, and more.
