The Raiders are reporting strong figures for personal seat license sales at Las Vegas’s upcoming Allegiant Stadium, their home beginning next season.
Construction continues on Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Raiders and UNLV football that will be completed ahead of the 2020 NFL season. As the franchise prepares for its move from Oakland to Las Vegas, it is seeing strong support in terms of personal seat license (PSL) sales.
At a Las Vegas Stadium Authority meeting on Monday, it was revealed that the Raiders have accounted for $399.3 million in seat license sales. That is well ahead of the projection in the initial budget, leaving the Raiders with a very limited number of PSLs that remain for sale. More from the Las Vegas Sun:
The initial budget for the project called for $200 million in seat license revenue. The added revenue allowed builders to increase the project by $90 million to $1.97 billion, which will bring more enhancements such as furniture and fixtures, technology and food service upgrades, build-out of certain unassigned spaces, and the addition of sponsor signage and other fixtures.
In an email Monday, Raiders President Marc Badain said less than 2% of available PSLs for the new stadium remain.
Allegiant Stadium is also set to be home to a number of other events, including the annual Las Vegas Bowl and the Pac-12 Championship Game in 2020 and 2021, The stadium naming-rights partnership between the Raiders and Las Vegas-based airline Allegiant was announced in August.
