Turner Construction Co. and AECOM will oversee construction of the new Los Angeles Rams stadium planned as the centerpiece of a 298-acre mixed-use project being built in Inglewood by Hollywood Park Land Company.
Hollywood Park Land Company is owned by The Kroenke Group; Stan Kroenke also owns the Rams. The Rams are slated to play in the Los Angeles Coliseum for the next three NFL seasons before the new Inglewood stadium opens.
Between them, Turner/AECOM have built 17 stadiums for National Football League teams and renovated 10 others.
“After a competitive review of a number of outstanding construction firms, we have hired the best team to build the largest and most technologically advanced sports stadium in the world for the Los Angeles Rams,” said Terry Fancher, president of the Hollywood Park Land Co. “These firms also offered a well-developed plan for meeting Hollywood Park’s commitment to provide substantial employment opportunities for local Inglewood residents and meaningful economic participation in the stadium construction process for minority-owned business enterprises.”

TTurner/AECOM joins three other firms already engaged in the stadium project: Legends Project Development, which is providing project management services for the new stadium; HKS Architects of Dallas, which designed the new stadium; and Wilson Meany of San Francisco, which is providing entitlement and infrastructure management services for the stadium project.
The current design of the Rams’ new stadium includes 275 luxury suites, more than 16,000 premium seats, and will include almost 3 million square feet of usable space. It will also provide standing room for 27,000 spectators in addition to its seating capacity of up to 70,000.
The stadium will be located at the heart of the new Hollywood Park entertainment district in Inglewood, which will include an adjacent 6,000-seat performance venue, up to 890,000-square-feet of retail space, and up to 300 hotel rooms. The project also includes up to 780,000-square-feet of office space, 2,500 residential units and 25 acres of public parks, playgrounds and open space.
