Work begins on Reser Stadium renovations

Physical work on Oregon State’s $153-million Reser Stadium renovations will begin tomorrow (Friday) morning, when the existing west side of the stadium is imploded.

The $153 million upgrade project will construct entirely new structure on the west side of the stadium. When completed, the west side of the stadium will feature a variety of premium seating options, expanded concessions and restroom facilities, enhanced sightlines, accessibility improvements and other fan amenities comparable to the east side of Reser, which was renovated prior to the 2005 season. The new section also creates a 360-degree stadium concourse.

The Reser Stadium renovations will also include the construction of year-round university facilities, including a new state-of-the art interactive welcome center for new students considering attending OSU; new health center facilities for Corvallis campus students; health care facilities for OSU faculty and staff; and additional meeting space for university students, faculty and staff.

You can view the implosion online at completingreserstadium.com; it’s scheduled for 7:40-8 a.m. Pacific.
