Allegiant Stadium lands 2024 Super Bowl: report

Allegiant Stadium

Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, has landed the 2024 Super Bowl, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

New Orleans and the Caesars Superdome had originally been awarded Super Bowl LVIII, but after the NFL regular season was expanded to 17 games, the date for the game was moved from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11, creating a conflict with the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration. That created an opening for Las Vegas officials to land the game.

The 2024 Super Bowl award is not yet official, reports the Review-Journal; owners must sign off on it, with announcement expected on December 15.

The 2022 Super Bowl is set for SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, while the 2023 Super Bowl is scheduled for State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
