PETA has ranked Mercedes-Benz Stadium at the top of its first vegan-friendly NFL stadiums list, recognizing the vegan-friendly options served by the Atlanta Falcons.
Among the notable offerings at Mercedes-Benz Stadium include Vegan Chick Sandwich, vegan hot dogs, and Beyond Burgers and Beyond Sausages (served with all the trimmings) at the all-new Garden Grill stand. Other stadium vendors offer delicious sides and desserts, including vegan cornbread, cinnamon-sugar pretzels, and brownies.
Nabbing the second-place spot is the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium, which boasts Beyond Brats and Beyond Italian Sausages (at its very own Beyond Meat cart!), plus Field Roast vegan franks, vegan samosas, crispy falafel, and more. Rounding out the top three is the Minnesota Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium, where fans can enjoy Vegan Chickpea “Tuna” Salad and BBQ Pulled Jackfruit sandwiches from Be Graceful Café, among other hearty vegan fare.
“Today’s football fans are rushing to buy delicious vegan game-day fare, from vegan po’ boys to protein-packed Italian ‘sausages,'” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “All the stadiums on PETA’s list are winning by a blowout margin when it comes to meeting the huge demand for animal-friendly food.”
Stadiums ranked 4-10 on the list are Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Eagles), Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs), CenturyLink Field (Seattle Seahawks), Gillette Stadium (New England Patriots), Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos), the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (Los Angeles Rams), and M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore). The full ranking, including overviews of the vegan-friendly options available at each top-10 stadium, can be found here.
This marks the first time that PETA has issued such a ranking for NFL stadiums. The organization has been publishing a similar list for Major League Baseball ballparks for years, most recently putting the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Park at the top of that ranking.
