In a unique ticket offering, UNLV football has announced an all you can eat plan that includes three home games for the 2018 season.
All you can eat plans have become somewhat common offerings around other sports, but the package UNLV is putting together for the upcoming season is believed to be fairly unique for college football. For as low as $79 per ticket, UNLV’s three-game “Eat All You Can Plan” will allow for unlimited hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, and soda. It includes the September 8, November 3, and November 24 games at Sam Boyd Stadium.
According to UNLV officials, fan feedback was a factor in the decision to begin offering the Eat All You Can Plan. More from The Las Vegas Sun:
“It’s a great way for your family to enjoy first-class entertainment and create a memory for an affordable price,” said Desiree Reed-Francois, UNLV’s athletic director.
When Reed-Francois arrived last summer at UNLV, she was determined to get feedback from supporters on how to operate the department. She even lived in the dorms for a brief period to get suggestions from students.
The university also sent out surveys to season ticket holders and conducted community meetings in their search for suggestions. One of the common themes was making an outing to a UNLV event more affordable.
“We wanted to be responsive to our fans,” Reed-Francois said.
The September 8 matchup against UTEP will be UNLV’s home opener for the 2018 season. UNLV football is slated to spend the next two seasons at Sam Boyd Stadium, before moving into the currently under construction Las Vegas stadium in 2020. They will share that facility with the relocating Oakland Raiders.
