Details Emerge on 2019 M&T Bank Stadium Upgrades

M&T Bank Stadium 2018

Details have emerged on 2019 M&T Bank Stadium upgrades, with the Baltimore Ravens planning suite and club level renovations.

Starting with an initial phase completed prior to the 2017 season, the Ravens have been undertaking a multi-round renovation to M&T Bank Stadium. New video displays, technology upgrades, corner-notch suites, and new escalators have been among the improvements thus far, and more renovations are on the way for next season.

Recently filed permits detail upcoming work that includes renovations to 70 of M&T Bank Stadium’s 133 suites, video and audio upgrades on the club level, and improvements to club level bar, food service, and lounge areas. The work is estimated to cost almost $23.8 million. More from the Baltimore Business Journal:

In a letter to suite owners this week, the Ravens said the upgrades were a “significant investment” intended to demonstrate gratitude for corporate partners’ loyalty to the team.

“It is important to us that your partnership with the Ravens continues to bring value to your business relationships and helps cultivate lasting memories with friends and family,” the team wrote.

[Ravens vice president of corporate sales and development Kevin] Rochlitz said the Ravens chose which suites to renovate based on a review process that looked at long-term contracts.

Other suite enhancements mentioned in the letter include: new kitchen cabinetry and mirrored backsplashes; a new open-shelving area; quartz countertops; a more efficient food service layout; a new, full-sized refrigerator with interior wine racks and a bottom freezer; built-in stainless steel ice bins; a new sink; LED lighting with built-in sensors; wall-to-wall carpeting; two new flat-screen televisions and private restroom upgrades.

Work on the 2019 M&T Bank Stadium upgrades is slated to begin in the middle of January, but that might change depending on how deep the Ravens advance in the NFL playoffs and whether they host another home game. The Ravens are the AFC’s number four seed after winning the AFC North, and will host the Los Angeles Chargers at home on Sunday.
