Ravens Slashing M&T Bank Stadium Concession Prices

Baltimore Ravens

Beginning with the 2018 season, the Baltimore Ravens will offer reduced concession prices at M&T Bank Stadium

As part of the team’s Flock Friendly Fare initiative, the Ravens will reduce prices on select M&T Bank Stadium menu items. Some of the notable offerings planned for 2018 include $5 12-ounce domestic beers, $3 stadium hot dogs, and $6 burgers.

In all, the Ravens will reduce prices on 21 menu items, including nine beverage options and 12 food selections. According to Ravens president Dick Cass, the team is putting this initiative into effect after considering fan feedback. More from The Baltimore Sun:

Cass said the decision to reduce the prices came after hearing more criticisms than compliments about the cost of concessions.

“We heard the criticism, and we’re responding, and we hope they’re going to take that into account when they’re making a decision of whether or not to come to a game,” Cass said. “And if they do come, it’s going to be less expensive for them, particularly for a family.”

Non-alcoholic beverages will also be reduced by an average of 39 percent. Five alcoholic beverages, including domestic draft and packaged beer, will be reduced by an average of 16 percent.

The stadium will also introduce a 12-ounce domestic beer for $5 — a first for the stadium, Cass said.

In light of cheaper concessions being a focal point for Atlanta Falcons games and other events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, there have been questions about whether reduced food and beverage prices will become a trend around the NFL. Mercedes-Benz Stadium applied that philosophy to events at the facility, and found some success during its debut run in 2017. (Sister site Soccer Stadium Digest covered this approach as it related to MLS’s Atlanta United FC, which also plays at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.)

As for the Ravens, reduced concession prices will not be the only changes at M&T Bank Stadium this year. The team is also in the midst of a multi-phase renovation to M&T Bank Stadium, with more upgrades to the fan experience on tap for the facility.
