The University of Texas is placing a new videoboard at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium, and has tapped ANC to be involved in the project.

The eighth largest stadium in the United States and the ninth largest stadium in the world, the new system at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium will be highlighted by a main video screen in the South End Zone which will measure 55.85’ high by 134.38’ wide. Totaling more than 7,505 square feet, the video display will be the 4th largest in the NCAA. The video display features a physical pixel resolution, providing the truest visuals possible across more than 2,723,840 physical pixels.

“One of our top priorities is offering an exceptional fan experience at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium, helping to make it one of the most exciting venues in college sports,” said Texas men’s athletics director Mike Perrin. “Upgrading to LED technology throughout the stadium will enhance the viewing experience for our fans.”

ANC has partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.’s Diamond Vision System Division to integrate more than 14,000 sq. feet of Mitsubishi’s XL Series LED technology throughout the stadium. All of the displays will be seamlessly synchronized by ANC’s award-winning vSOFT™ operating system.

In addition to the main video display, the renovation includes new LED displays on the sideline fascia, tunnels and end zones, bringing team graphics, real time game updates, game prompts and sponsor content into the gameday action.

“We are proud to partner with the prestigious University of Texas to provide a premium event experience for student athletes, fans, and alumni,” said Jerome Cifarelli, president & CEO, ANC. “Our technologies and game day services will help the University create the most exciting atmosphere in collegiate sports.”

The video display system is part of a technology upgrade that also includes a new scoreboard for the University’s new tennis facility. Through a multi-year partnership, ANC will create content for and operate these displays on campus during live events, including all University of Texas home games.
