Minnesota Vikings Sell Out Home Schedule

U.S. Bank Stadium, March 2016

U.S. Bank Stadium‘s opening has prompted an uptick in sales for the Minnesota Vikings, who have sold out their 2016 home schedule.

Prior to this announcement, there was some evidence that U.S. Bank Stadium would be a destination in Minneapolis this fall. The stadium’s first major event–a match between Chelsea and AC Milan earlier this month–drew over 64,000 spectators.

Of the stadium’s final 2016 capacity of 66,655, more than 60,400 seats are committed for the entire season with the remaining single-game seats also sold out. As a result of the sellout, the Vikings have launched a ticket and suite wait list.

“This is a testament to the passion of our fans and tremendous support of the Vikings,” said Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf. “The excitement for this team combined with the overwhelming response to U.S. Bank Stadium is incredible. We cannot wait to create the best home field advantage in the NFL.”

The Vikings encourage fans looking for tickets to sign up for the wait list and continue to check ticketmaster.com or call the team’s ticket office at 612.33.VIKES as a very limited number of ticket returns, such as visiting team returns the week of a home game, are likely throughout the season.
